1. GPA Requirements: The financial aid recipient is expected to
maintain the same minimum grade point average as any other student
enrolled at ECTC. The method for determining the GPA is found in the
Student Handbook. The minimum grade point average is 2.00. Students
failing to maintain a 2.00 cumulative GPA will be placed on academic
probation. Students have one quarter to remove themselves from academic
probation by raising their GPA to the minimum or higher. Financial Aid
will be extended for this probation quarter for classes not previously
taken. Students who do not raise their cumulative GPA by the end of the
second quarter will be academically dismissed and their financial aid
program terminated.
2. Requirements for Credit Hours Attempted: In addition to meeting
the requirements defined above, the financial aid recipient must
satisfactorily complete three-fourths (3/4) of the credit hours attmepted
each quarter to remain eligible for financial aid. Students failing to
earn the necessary credit hours will be placed on financial aid probation.
Students will be allowed one quarter with financial aid to earn the
minimum number of credit hours or they will have their financial aid
terminated at the end of that quarter.
Satisfactory grades are defined in the Academic Regulations section of the
Student Handbook. A grade of "S" in Developmental Studies shall
be considered as satisfactory. Grades of I, W, WP, and WF are counted
as coursework attempted but are not included in the cumulative GPA.

3. Time Frame: Students must complete their educational objective
within a maximum time frame of one-and-a-half times the length of the
program in which they are enrolled. This means that students will no
longer be eligible to receive financial aid once they have attempted one
and a half times the minimum number of credit hours required for
graduation in the program enrolled.
