Mr. Ty Garnto serves as Retention Specialist and Academic Support Center Coordinator at East Central Tech. Mr. Garnto holds a Master of Educational Psychology degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia.

Mr. Garnto is experienced in project management, training needs assessments, and the development of instructional guides and testing and evaluation instruments. He was employed for more than five years with a major warehouse distribution corporation as an Executive Group Leader/Distribution Manager and an Organizational Effectiveness Training Consultant. He also formerly worked as a case manager for the Department of Justice and served as a hostage negotiator.

A native of Dublin, GA, Mr. Garnto is a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Society for Training & Development.
