Kellie Rigdon Lockwood serves as an instructor in ECTC's Practical
Nursing program on the Coffee County Campus. Ms. Lockwood holds a Master of
Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University, a Bachelor of Science in
Nursing from the University of the State of New York, and a Diploma in
Nursing from Grady Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
Ms. Lockwood is experienced in organizing and administering new programs,
having set up and instructed the first Practical Nursing Program at South
Georgia College, which included courses in basic and advanced pharmacology
for nurses. She is also an experienced nurse, most recently having worked as
a home care nurse with Health Department Home Care Services of Douglas. In
addition, she is a former ECTC instructor, coordinating with registered
nurses to provide class and clinical instruction for practical nursing
students.
A member of the first State Certified Instructors Course for Emergency
Technicians, she also taught the first EMT course in Ware County and the
first Crash Injury Management Course in Coffee County. Her Master of Science
in Nursing has an emphasis in Community Nursing and Instruction.
