Dr. Chandler Newell serves as Director of Multimedia Services at East Central Tech. He has also served as Director of Technology, IT Support Specialist, Career Planner, and Financial Aid Specialist. Prior to joining the staff of East Central Tech, he taught in the Coffee County School System for six years.

Dr. Newell's duties at ECTC include the creation and maintenance of the East Central Tech public Web site and all related sites as well as the development of the college's multimedia productions. He also oversees the development and production of many of the printed marketing materials for the college, and has taught online courses in Web Design and Web Graphics.

He earned a Doctor of Education degree in Adult Education from the University of Georgia, a Master of Education degree in Adult and Vocational Education from Valdosta State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education from Brewton-Parker College. He also serves as an adjunct instructor and advisory committee member for the Department of Adult and Career Education at Valdosta State University, where he teaches graduate courses in electronic courseware design, instructional systems design, and program planning.
