Jim Schwindle serves as Vice President for Academic Affairs at East Central Tech. Prior to joining the staff of East Central Tech, Jim worked for 8 years at the Tennessee Technology Center in Crossville, Tennessee as a math and drafting instructor. Jim also spent 22 years as a United States Air Force officer assigned at various locations around the world. His duties included work in aircraft and weapons development and testing - including the F-15, F-22, and F-117 fighters; stealth technology design; and development and testing of laser and electro-optical guided bombs.

Jim earned a Masters Degree in Business Management at Michigan University and also holds a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University. He is involved in local community activities through volunteer work and as a Gideon.
