		Deborah Smith serves as Director of Human Resources at East Central Tech. She has also served as an Adult Literacy Instructor in Irwin County. Prior to joining the faculty of East Central Tech, Deborah taught English at Valdosta State University and at Georgia Military College. She has worked in journalism and bookkeeping. Ms. Smith’s job duties include coordinating the employment, application, and interview process; overseeing the orientation process of new employees; maintaining staff development records; and managing grievances. She holds a Master of Arts in English from Valdosta State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, TV, and Film Journalism from the University of Georgia.
