Program Description

The purpose of the Applications Programmer technical certificate is to provide training opportunities for persons to gain entry-level employment in the field of computer programming. Courses in the technical certificate provide both classroom and hands-on learning in the areas of computer concepts, program design and development, multimedia programming and presentations, and visual basic.

Length of Program

A total of 32 credit hours is required for completion.  A full-time student could complete this program in three quarters.

Campus Location

The Applications Programming Specialist Certificate is offered on the Ben Hill-Irwin, Coffee, Wilcox, and Pearson campuses.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates of this certificate program are able to seek full-time employment opportunities in the application programming industry.

Entrance Requirements
Placement exam required.
