Program Description

The Automotive Climate Control Specialist certificate program prepares students for careers in the automotive technician field. Local industry needs properly trained personnel in order to implement repair services for the new technologies in automotive heating and air conditioning systems. The program emphasizes a combination of heating and air conditioning systems theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates will receive an Automotive Climate Control certificate and possess the qualifications of an Automotive Air Conditioning Technician.

Length of Program A minimum of 15 credit hours is required for program completion. A full-time student can complete this certificate in one quarter. A part-time night student can complete this certificate in three quarters. Campus Location The Automotive Climate Control Specialist certificate is offered quarterly on the Ben Hill-Irwin campus. Entrance Requirements Required Age: 16 years of age or older Education: High School Diploma or GED Must hold a valid Georgia driver's license. Placement exam required.		Curriculum
