Program Description

The Automatic Transmission/Transaxle Technician certificate program prepares students for careers in the automotive technician field. Local industry needs properly trained technicians to provide repair services for new technologies in transmissions and transaxles. The program emphasizes a combination of transmission and transaxles systems theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates will receive an Automatic Transmission/Transaxle Technician certificate and possess the qualifications of an Automatic Transmission/Transaxle Repair Technician.

Length of Program A minimum of 23 credit hours is required for program completion. A full-time student can complete this certificate in two quarters. A part-time student can complete this certificate in four quarters. Campus Location The Automotive Transmission/Transaxle Technician Certificate is offered on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus. Entrance Requirements Required Age: 16 years of age or older Must hold a valid Georgia driver's license		Curriculum
