Program Description

The purpose of the Cell Site/Wireless Specialist technical certificate is to provide training opportunities for persons to gain entry-level employment in the field of wireless telecommunications. Courses in the technical certificate provide both classroom and hands-on learning in the areas of safety, cabling, RF fundamentals, cell site installation ans service, and antenna theory.

Length of Program

A total of 23 credit hours is required for completion.  A part-time student enrolled two nights a week could complete this program in three quarters.

Campus Location

The Voice/Data Specialist Certificate  is offered on the Ben Hill-Irwin campus.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates are able to seek full-time employment with wireless service providers.

Entrance Requirements
Required Age: 16 years of age or older
Placement exam required.
