Program Description

The Advanced Commercial Refrigeration Technical Certificate is designed to prepare air conditioning technicians or graduates of the air conditioning diploma program for careers in the commercial refrigeration and air conditioning industry.  The emphasis of this technical certificate is to provide specialized academic and hands-on training in refrigeration fundamentals, commercial refrigeration design and application, and troubleshooting and servicing commercial refrigeration equipment.

Length of Program

A total of 16 credit hours is required for completion.  A part-time student attending classes two nights a week could expect to complete the program in three quarters.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates may find employment in the repair, installation, maintenance, and design of commercial refrigeration units.

Campus Location

The Advanced Commercial Refrigeration technical certificate is offered on the Coffee Campus.

Entrance Requirements
Required Age: 16 years of age or older
Must have air conditioning experience or permission from the air conditioning instructor to enroll in this technical certificate.
