Program Description

The Computer Fundamentals certificate program is designed to provide short-term training that will adequately prepare the student for entry-level microcomputer jobs. Program completers will have the ability to be end users on microcomputers systems, to recognize and resolve minor microcomputer problems, and to develop solutions to typical business applications requiring knowledge of Word. Graduates will receive a Fundamental Microcomputer Skills technical certificate.

Length of Program

A total of 15 credit hours is required for completion. A part-time night student could expect to complete the program in three quarters.

Campus Location

The Computer Fundamentals certificate is offered on the Atkinson, Ben Hill-Irwin, Coffee, Ocilla, and Wilcox campuses.

Employment Opportunities

Completers may find jobs as PC operators in many areas of employment.
