Program Description

The Drivability Technician certificate program prepares student for careers in the automotive technician field. The program emphasizes a combination of automotive electrical system, ignition system, fuel and exhaust system, and emission control system theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates will receive a Drivability Technician certificate and possess the qualifications of a Drivability Technician.

Length of Program

A minimum of 27 credit hours is required for program completion. A full-time student can complete the requirements for this program within two quarters. A part-time student can complete this certificate within five quarters.

Campus Location

The Drivability Technician Certificate is offered quarterly on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus.
 

Employment Opportunities

This field is wide open whether someone plans to start his or her own business or to work for an established repair facility.
