Program Description
The Flux Cored Arc Welder program is designed to provide
educational opportunities to individuals that will enable them
to obtain the knowledge, skills and attitudes to succeed as a
Flux Cored Arc Welder. Courses in the technical certificate
provide both classroom and hands-on learning in the areas of
introductory welding knowledge, skills in oxyfuel cutting, blue
print reading, and flux cored arc welding.

Length of Program
A total of 18 credit hours is required for program
completion. A part-time student enrolled two nights a week
could expect to complete the program in four quarters; a
full-time day
student, in two quarters.
Campus Location
The Flux Cored Arc Welder
certificate is offered quarterly on the Ben Hill-Irwin campus.
Employment Opportunities
Program completers may obtain employment in several
industries and municipalities in our service area as
welders.
