Length of Program
A minimum of 89 credit hours is required for graduation. A
full-time student can expect to complete the program in four
quarters. A part-time student can expect to complete the
program in six quarters by attending classes scheduled for
three nights per week and is nine quarters by attending
classes scheduled for two nights per week.
Campus Location
The Fire Science diploma is offered on
the Coffee campus. The Coffee campus accepts new students
fall quarter.

Employment Opportunities
With an ever-increasing growth in
population, industry, and residential expansions, the need
for technically trained Fire Science personnel is also
increasing. Training received in the program provides
individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to become
fire fighters, fire department officers, communications
personnel, fire police personnel, hazardous materials
technicians, special rescue technicians, fire prevention
officers/inspectors, and public fire and life safety
educators.
Salary Range
The average annual salary range for
Fire Science Technology graduates is $21,000 to $24,000.
