Program Description

The Gas Metal Arc Welder certificate program provides knowledge of blueprint reading as well as the theory, safety practices, equipment, and techniques required for successful gas metal arc welding. Program completers will receive a Gas Metal Arc Welder technical certificate.

Length of Program

A total of 19 credit hours is required for program completion. A part-time student enrolled two nights a week could expect to complete the program in four quarters; a day student, in two quarters.

Campus Location

The Gas Metal Arc Welder certificate is offered quarterly on the Ben Hill-Irwin campus.
 

Employment Opportunities
Completers may find employment as a MIG welder or in one of several related areas.
