Program Description

The Industrial Electrician technical certificate is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the field of industrial wiring as well as provide an entrance point for high school students into electrical programs. Courses in this TCC provide both classroom and hands-on learning in the areas of safety, AC/DC circuits, and industrial wiring. The TCC will provide entry-level technicians the skills required to work as an entry-level electrician’s helper or apprentice.

Length of Program

A minimum of 16 credit hours is required to complete the program.

Campus Location

The Industrial Electrician technical certificate is offered on the Coffee and Ben Hill-Irwin campuses.

Entrance Requirements

Required Age: 16 years of age or older
Placement exam required.
