Program Description

The purpose of the Industrial Motor Control Technician technical certificate provides training opportunities for entry-level technicians to advance in the field of industrial systems. Courses in the certificate provide both classroom and hands-on learning in the areas of industrial safety, motor control wiring and control circuitry, DC and AC motors, and magnetic starters and braking. The certificate will provide entry-level technicians the skills needed to work in the rapidly changing technological field of industrial systems.

Length of Program

A total of 16 credit hours is required for program completion. A full-time student can complete the program in one quarter; a part-time student in two quarters.

Campus Location

The Industrial Motor Control Technician technical certificate is offered on the Ben Hill-Irwin campus.
