Program Description
The Microsoft Office Applications Professional certificate program prepares students to be end users on microcomputer systems. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills to perform word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications in an office environment. It is designed to provide hands-on instruction for developing foundation skills for office assistant careers. This certificate also provides an opportunity for individuals with a background in clerical and secretarial training or experience to upgrade their skills.

Length of Program
A total of 22 credit hours is required for completion. A part-time night student could expect to complete the program in four quarters; a day student, in as few as three.
Campus Location
The Microsoft Office Applications Professional certificate of credit is offered quarterly on the Ben Hill-Irwin, Coffee, and Wilcox campuses and online.
Entrance Requirements
Required Age: 16 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED required
Placement exam required.
