Program Description
The Office Accounting technical certificate
provides students with training in the principles of accounting,
computer fundamentals, and computerized accounting. Students
will receive training in the concepts and applications of the
accounting cycle, fundamental computer skills, laws that affect
a company’s payroll structure, and practical application skills
in maintaining payroll records.

Length of Program
A total of 18 credit hours is required for completion. A
student could expect to complete the program in four
quarters.
Campus Location
The Office Accounting technical
certificate is offered quarterly on Ben Hill-Irwin, Coffee,
and Wilcox campuses and
online.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates of this certificate program
will be prepared for employment as accounts receivable
clerks, accounts payable clerks, accounting assistants,
accounting technicians, data entry clerks, and payroll
clerks.
Entrance Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Placement exam required.
