Length of Program
A total of 18 credit hours is required for program
completion. A part-time student enrolled two nights a week
could expect to complete the program in three quarters. An extended-day student could complete requirements in one quarter.
Campus Location
The Overhead Shielded Metal Arc Welder certificate is offered
quarterly on the Ben Hill-Irwin campus.
Employment Opportunities
Program completers are prepared for careers in the welding industry and will find employment opportunities nationwide, and within our service area as
welders.
Entrance Requirements
Required Age: 16 years or older
Must be a graduate of the Flat Shielded Metal Arc Welder TCC
