Workforce Investment Act  (WIA)-The purpose of this act is to provide economically disadvantaged youth and unskilled adults, or persons facing serious barriers to employment, with the training necessary for entry into the labor force. For those who qualify and are selected, WIA can pay the cost of tuition, fees, books, and uniforms where required.

More complete information may be obtained by contacting one of the case managers for WIA at ECTC or from the Georgia Department of Labor.

Foundation - The East Central Tech Foundation grants various scholarships during each year. Contact your high school counselor for more information on these scholarships.

The East Central Tech Financial Aid Committee awards other scholarships as they become available. The committee responds to requests for short-term emergency loans.

Students seeking aid from the Financial Aid Committee should talk with their instructor, who will refer them to the Financial Aid Director for other information and/or request forms as needed.

Vocational Rehabilitation - Assistance is available for qualifying physically handicapped students. Contact the local vocational rehabilitation counselor for complete information.

Veterans - All programs at ECTC are approved for veteran's training. Persons eligible for veteran's training should make application through the ECTC registrar or their local Veterans Administration Office, or visit the VA/GI Bill Website at www.gibill.va.gov.

Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Grant - Pell eligible students who have a child receiving child care services at the East Central Tech Child Development Center may apply for financial assistance through the CCAMPIS Grant.  The purpose of this grant is to support the participation of low-income parents in postsecondary education through the provision of campus-based child-care services.  Grants are awarded quarterly based on the students demonstrating the greatest financial need.

Student Government Child Care Supplemental Grant - Limited financial assistance is available to help non-Pell eligible students with cost of child care expenses at the Child Development Center.  Applicants will submit a request for Child Care Assistance Application to the Financial Aid Office.  Grant recipients are selected by the Financial Aid Committee.

Georgia First Loans-
