Starting with Spring Quarter East Central Technical College will move to Blackboard 7 the latest version of Blackboard. Along with the move there are a few changes students need to be aware of.

First the web site for logging in is changing it will be: http://gvtc7.blackboard.com

Second your username will change as well.   Each Technical College is given a numeric identifier, East Central Techs is 825.  The username will utilize just the last two digits of the colleges identifier of 25 in conjunction with your student ID number.  So an example of a students username from East Central Tech would appear like:  25_900012345

If your Student ID number is 900098745  then your username would be 25_900098745.  Please note there is an underscore separating the two digit college identifier and your student ID.

If you do not know your student ID you can go to the Banner Web System login using your SSN and your Banner PIN and then locate your student ID number by selecting Registration, Select Term, and then look to the upper right corner and you will see your Student ID #

For the initial use of the new site and first time logging in passwords will be set generically.  You will receive an email from your instructor the first day of class that will describe how to login to the new platform.
