To Access Your Email

Please remember that all students will be required to use their ECTC email for online courses.  Your email address is your first initial, last name, last four digits of your Student ID followed by @student.eastcentraltech.edu.  An example is for John Smith with student ID 900091234:  jsmith1234@student.eastcentraltech.edu. 

 To access your email account, go to www.eastcentraltech.edu, click student quick links, and choose Student email. 

 Email Username:  Your email username to login to your email is your first initial, last name, last four digits of your Student ID.  An example is:  jsmith1234.

 Email Password:  Your email password is your birthday in six digit format followed by @ectc.  An example for March 7, 1969 is:  030769@ectc

 To Access Your Online Course

All of your ECTC online courses that you are taking will be located at http://gvtc7.blackboard.com.  You need to go to this site to begin your course. 

 Your Blackboard Username:  

The username will start with 25_ and your student ID.  If your Student ID number is 900098745, then your username would be 25_900098745.  Please note that there is an underscore separating the two digit college identifier and your student ID.

 Your Blackboard Password:

The initial password is set the same as your username.  If you are a returning student, your password has been reset to the same as your username as well; it is not the same as last quarter.  Once you have logged in, please change your password to something that you can remember.

 If you do not know your student ID, you can go to the http://www.eastcentraltech.edu/bannerhome.htm login using your SSN and your Banner PIN and then locate your student ID number by selecting Registration, Select Term, and then look to the upper right corner and you will see your Student ID #.  If you do not know how to login to Banner Web, then you will need to contact the admissions office for assistance: 229-468-2040 or 800-575-0567.
