The Commercial Truck Driving program began in October of 2006 at East Central Tech's Coffee Campus in Douglas. This program provides the area with much-needed training in this field of study. We are pleased to be able to offer the program to our five-county service area, and employers are excited that training can be done locally to fill the many vacant jobs in our are which require a commercial driver's license. This career is fast-growing not only for our region but for the entire state of Georgia. Truck driving can be a very lucrative career and the training time involved is very short. The program only takes one quarter (ten weeks) to complete. A graduate is typically placed with a mentor driver when hired for several weeks before driving alone. If you like to be on your own and love to travel, then you need to stop by the admissions office at East Central Technical College. The program accepts student twice per quarter, so enroll now!
